Educate Me - Cameroon

Educate Me – Cameroon

Educate Me - Cameroon works closely with the diocese of Kumbo in NW Cameroon in several schools, health center and other health facilities, and in social works, likewise in rural Binshua – Nkambe region.

Educate Me - Cameroon supports manly demand-driven requests through local partners.

More specific, from 2017 till 2020 we realized several educational, health, greening, water, and food supply projects in Cameroon and offered support to the internal displaced people and the refugee work with self-sustaining and local income generating activities (IGA).

In the context of prolonged crisis mainly in NW, SW & Far North Cameroon, Educate Me – Cameroon adapted the program in 2019 on the appeal of the Bishop of Kumbo for a period of humanitarian aid. We provided humanitarian aid in cooperation with the Province of West Flanders to Donga Mantung in the NW, such as emergency aid, aid in context of Covid -19, and aid to education and internally displaced persons. We offered structural help through the construction and part of the furnishing of maternity in Binshua, at St Patrick's Catholic Health Center with support of numerous partner organizations including the city of Waregem.

To this end, Educate Me – Cameroon has been working since November 2020 directly with Bishop George Nkuo. The ultima goal is to hand over projects that are self-sustainable.

Together we draw attention to peace mission and international cooperation for the education of displaced children in Cameroon in humanitarian mission. Educate Me – Cameroon, actively includes internal displaced persons, and children in project work.
With your help, we support the continuation of early higher education in some schools in the war zones, including the local college in Binshua.
Specifically, we now support through nursery and primary education in Binshua, taking to the heart having accessible medical care in Binshua, Nkambe region.

In 2023, Educate Me – Cameroon will continue to work from evangelical and missionary inspiration in the spirit of St Damien to support people in the NW of Cameroon, without distinction of race, gender, or ideology, with a special focus on orphan and vulnerable child: girls, displaced and returnee children, and children with disabilities, through education.
